Rec-Diver was set up as part of my MSC project, to see if it was possible to build and maintain a Virtual Organisation (VO) purely using Web 2.0 tools. Okay, that's a lot of geek-jargon so here's a quick translation. A VO is a geographically diverse group made up of individuals who come together for a common goal. Our goal is to build a community where divers can come for honest, unbiased reports of their experiences and share these, along with pictures and advice or whatever else we want to include here. Web 2.0 tools? A catch-all phrase to describe the ways we do this - blogs, wikis, calendars and tags to name but a few. The project has now finished but the site has proved popular so it will keep running as long as people want to use it.
